Movies and My Overactive Subconsious

Ok has anyone else seen I Am Legend? It is a creepy fucking movie!! And I’m not even interested in reading the book. It sounds worse than the movie. I went with my friend Lisa to see I Am Legend on Tuesday night. It’s the first movie I’ve seen in our new theater here. Nice theater but the movie disturbed me. Will Smith does a good job in it of course and I think if the zombie/vampire things weren’t quite so creepy I would have liked it better. That and the whole movie in a way was boring/rushed in my opinion. To me it seemed that the plot could go so much deeper and make it much more interesting. I felt as though they only scraped the surface of what could have been a really good sci-fi thriller plot. Creepy movies aren’t so bad for me if they have a good plot that sucks me in. This failed though and just scared the bejesus out of me.

Of course there was my issue with the dog in the movie too. Now for those of you who haven’t seen it sorry if I’m giving it away, but the dog dies. It’s sad. I almost didn’t go see it just for that factor. I hate movies where the animals die. It’s even worse in real life when my animals or someone else’s die.

But I digress from that. After the movie was over we decided we both needed a drink. I had 6. Then after I got home I didn’t sleep a wink because of it. I am one of those people that if I watch something that has a big impact on me I dream the whole damn thing over and I’m usually inserted as the main character. This wouldn’t be so bad if I dreamt about good movies. But this usually only happens when I watch something scary.

Sorry for this being such a choppy entry. I keep getting interrupted as I write and my memory can’t handle it. Anyway, I will write more sometime. I’ve actually had many things I’ve wanted to post about in the past month, just haven’t gotten it done. Have a good weekend!!!
