Someone to Forget

As she neared the entrance to the bar she could hear metal music blasting from inside. This did not seem promising. She was mentally kicking herself for letting her friends talk her into this. But it had been a while since she’d been out and it might turn out to be fun. Just outside the doors she ran into Sam, her friend that had twisted her into this night.

“Hey Beautiful!” He said with a smile

She could tell by that goofy grin that he’d been to a few bars already. Joey his boyfriend followed closely behind and just rolled his eyes and giggled.

“You look amazing!” Said Sam

She smiled. Secretly she agreed with him. She had gained some weight in the past couple months but thankfully her boobs had grown too. So she looked rather curvy and extremely sexy in the snug jeans and low cut sweater she had chosen. She was also having an incredible hair night and her make-up had gone on perfect.

The three of them headed inside and found a table. Thankfully the metal music had stopped and something more bearable was playing. She had butterflies in her stomach. This was the first time she had agreed to meet a guy since Cody had left her. Amazingly so far this guy sounded intriguing at least. He worked with Sam and Joey in construction and was supposedly into Ultimate Fighting. The other point about him that got her attention was that he was interested in meeting her. Evidently Sam and Joey talked about her non-stop and he asked to meet her. So here she was.

When the waitress came around she only ordered a coke. She decided she didn’t want to drink at first. Being tipsy around a new guy isn’t always a good thing. As she was sipping her coke entranced by her own thoughts Sam and Joey yelled and waved a guy over. Slowly she assessed what she could of him as he walked over. She couldn’t see much though because of the hooded sweatshirt he had on.

“What’s up?” He said to Sam and Joey

After exchanging their greetings Sam turned to her and said “This is Lacy. Lacy this is DJ.”

At this time he threw the hood off and extended his hand. She took it and was impressed by the handshake. He wasn’t afraid to squeeze a bit just because she was a woman. Her eyes moved from his hand up to his face. He still had a ball cap on but the most amazing pair of brown eyes looked into hers. She felt her face go hot and her breath catch. He smiled and two sexy dimples appeared. They stayed that way locked in a handshake for a moment looking at each other. He had that intense sparkle in his eye that she hadn’t seen for a long time.

It was that same sparkle she had seen in Cody’s eyes the first time they met. She thought that look only happened once in a lifetime but she realized she was mistaken in that assumption. After that look she knew he would not be someone she could forget.

What is with eyes that always makes or breaks the start? I wish girls were little more mature than that. I for one isn't blessed with perfect big eyes. But I know I've got more. lol

Enjoyed the read.

And you so left us hanging with this one, girly!!

Glad to see you are writing again.

Eyes, smile, hands, shoulders is what I normally look for first in a guy - physically.

Sense of humor and intelligence are the first things I look for in a non-physical way. So Faris, eyes don't ALWAYS "make or break" the start :).
